
Allison Horsley
Born and raised in Texas, USA, Allison Horsley has been a script and story consultant for more than 25 years. After earning an MFA from Yale School of Drama, she worked extensively in American regional theaters as a literary manager and dramaturg, specialising in adaptations and new play and musical development. Noteworthy projects include script development and research for Broadway musicals including Jersey Boys and Doctor Zhivago, and translations of Chekhov's major plays for adaptation (Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Broadway) and film (Sony Pictures Classics' The Seagull). Now based in Ōtepoti Dunedin, Allison is a part-time script advisor for Playmarket NZ and freelance writer and dramaturg.
